Their Story
How did you two meet?
Online dating app, our first date we had dinner at the time restaurants had just started opening back up during the pandemic.
How did you get engaged?
He & my friends plotted to surprise me with a "random" trip to San Antonio where he proposed on the Selena bridge (as seen in the movie & where the singer actually was proposed to herself). His family had also joined in the surprise, so we were in front of our loved ones. My parents weren't able to be present, but Wes had already asked them for my hand (even though I was a strong independent woman that didn't follow traditions lol)
What was the inspiration for your wedding?
We both had strong memories of growing up camping in the mountains. I am crunchy at heart, so I wanted to have lots of natural elements in the decor. We both are nerds in our own ways, so we snuck in some details that were subtle & complimentary to our theme that did not take away from the overall experience for our guests.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding?
The speeches given by our family members that were both embarrassing & heartfelt. I cried the most during this part of the wedding.
What is one thing you would change from your wedding?
Do what you want, its your day to celebrate your love. Just remember to have good food & tunes for the guests.
