Teegan & Nick’s Story
How did you two meet?
My husband Nick and I met through social media and were friends for about a year before we decided to start seeing each other.
How did you get engaged?
I am not big on putting on a show, and Nick did terrific with his proposal, as it was simplistic yet super romantic. It was evening, and he called to say he had something to give me. I went to meet him outside, and when I walked out, he was on one knee and had our song playing; I remember being speechless.
What was the inspiration for your wedding?
One thing that I wanted our wedding to represent was us and what we each love, which was mixing old and new. I wanted to wear Jordans as this was something true to us, and I was very blessed to find pairs that would match the rest of our look and esthetics. Our theme was fall-driven, with the colors being burgundy, deep yellow, and green, and to incorporate old, we had china that was beyond beautiful, pulling everything together.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding?
This is a hard one to choose from as I loved everything about my day as we made it intimate so we could enjoy those around us and not worry about stretching ourselves thin. One thing that we opted out of was dancing and instead did a private lunch with fantastic food from Mila Mesa, and we were able to talk with our guests and enjoy each other. Another thing we did was a couple's spa after the festivities, as this is something we both want, and it was great to spend quality time with just us and reflect on our day.
What is one thing you would change from your wedding?
For those planning their day, the best advice I can give is that the day is about you and no one else. If you want to do something unconventional or different, do it because this is something for you and the one you love, and that is all that matters.
